I’m sorry, I was trying to reach Fox’s, apparent, target demographic.
What I was trying to convey there is – Detroit rooted “horrorcore” rap group, Insane Clown Posse will be given national television airtime on Fox News’ Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. A once brilliantly written comedic news program has degraded to this. Literally.
It has been well documented throughout the years on RyansDrunk.com, but I’ll say it again. I’m no great fan of the Republican-leaning news network. I am, or I at least was, a huge fan of the Libertarian-leaning, late night talk show that is on Fox’s lineup. Recent changes to the show, which seem to be done for the soul purpose of chasing ratings, have found myself (and thousands of fans like me) disenfranchised.
The two most notable changes to the show being key, entertaining moments of the entire 42+ minute broadcast. In the first quarter of the year, the decision was made to remove the talking newspaper puppet, Pinch. Sure, I get it, I’m a grown man complaining about a missing puppet. Either way. Pinch’s opening monologue to the show was always a great watch.
More recently, the Red Eye crew decided to remove the “Halftime Report” segment. In the C-Block of every show, resident ombudsman, Andy Levy, would explain to the panel the corrections he saw that needed to be made or expanded upon. This was always the most entertaining segment of every show. Now, it’s nixed.
About an hour ago, I saw this come across my Twitter feed (which is @Ryans_Drunk, in case you haven’t noticed):
There has never been a more appropriate time to make use of this meme.
I would ask for comments. But I’m sure there are none to be had here. But if you’ve got something to say, don’t hesitate.
