With what seems to be one of the more disappointing showings for Hollywood at the box office, the action-comedy, 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, took the top spot. The film brought in $27.5m.
The Wolverine came in came in second place, making $21.3m. The sequel to 2011’s The Smurfs brought in a disappointing $17.5m for third. The Conjuring remained in the top five, bringing home $13m. Coming in fifth was Despicable Me 2, making $10.1m.
